I’m an ex-agency leader that has helped build some of Boston’s most notable brands. Now I’m focused on doing what I love most – rolling up my sleeves and working hands-on with entrepreneurs and professionals to explore, invent, and launch digital products that improve the lives of people.

My expertise in a nutshell

  • Loyalty & Commerce – I helped shape the largest loyalty program in the country with MyPanera, redesigned the Dunkin app with a lens on brand, loyalty, and performance...and designed countless digital experiences for brands like Keurig, Tatte, CAVA, Bai Beverages, and more.
  • B2B Sales & Service – When it comes to B2B sales and service, I believe relationships should still take center stage, but digital can play a stronger role in helping people work better together. I've been able to do this for brands like Toast, UniFirst, Staples Advantage, Omron Automation, and Keurig's B2B business.
  • Health & Pharma – Working with Healthcare brands provides the biggest opportunity for meaningful change and my strongest experience across all the work I've done is with Biogen. I spent years working at the highest levels of the organization to overhaul their digital ecosystem. This included digital ecosystem strategy, product design, defining global standards, and enabling shared insights across their portfolio of brands.
  • Financial Services – I have a significant experience in financial services. Most notably, I spent years working with Fidelity and Fidelity Labs to invent new business lines, design new digital products, and work across a complex organization to enact meaningful change. I've also worked for TIAA, Voya, MFS, and Commonwealth Financial.
  • Business Applications & Portals – I enjoy this work because it's the truest form of UX and presents an opportunity to uncover new ways of working. I've helped complicated orgnizations like Fidelity, Panera, Commonwealth Financial, Trellis, and other smaller brands create design systems and business systems designs that help people work better.
  • Start-Ups – My entrepreneurial spirit, optimism, and broad skillset have made me a really good fit for start-ups. Sometimes I'm creating prototypes to garner investment and other times I'm working late at night to get a fresh idea to market the next morning.

Career Milestones

  • 20+ years as an agency-lifer – Since 1999, I became a leader in my field thanks to a focus on working hard, being smart, and doing the right thing consistently.
  • Led the XD team at Sapient – The most formative years of my career, I worked at Sapient from 2011-2016 and left as leader of Boston’s experience design team.
  • Started my own agency – In 2016, I started my own agency with the belief that the relationship between experience, innovation, and operations is tight – almost inseparable.
  • Built a successful agency – I grew Carter Edwards & Co. from the ground-up into a multi-million dollar agency with one of the best teams in Boston.
  • We were acquired in 2021 – My team and I were acquired by Allen & Gerritsen in 2021 where I then served as the Chief Customer Officer until 2025.
  • I'm now working independently – I left the security of full-time employment to focus on freelancing and getting back to the work I love most.
